WMS/MES FLEXIT IN DETAIL
FlexIT makes full use of standardized modules complemented by a part tailored to specific customer solutions. The specific application is tested in a laboratory with the PLC control level, and if advantageous, also on a 3D digital model of the newly installed or modernized existing production system.
Main Characteristics and Components of the System
Graphical Interface and Requirements
- Customer’s hardware platform – physical PC or virtualized server
- The system can operate both locally and remotely
- GUI as a web service – easy display on a PC, tablet, smartphone
- Centralized user management with distribution capability to operator panels
- Remote management and maintenance typically using VPN MikroTik
Control
- The entire control system consists of a database and an application (written in C# .NET)
- Algorithm for efficient and predictive control
- Recipe management system
- Logging and messaging for both manual and automatic operational modes
- Algorithms utilizing multi-criteria optimization
- The application takes into account the upcoming EU directive named NIS2
- Control verification is usually performed through virtual commissioning and a data sample prepared by the customer
Communication with Superior and Subordinate Systems
- Communication with subordinate systems like PLC is done through messages
- Messages are defined for each communication node
- Communication with superior systems like ERP or surrounding systems is possible via a database server, using RestAPI, XML file, or through OPC UA
Logging and Statistics
- Product logging tracking the lifecycle from input to output
- Full traceability of the production process
- Event logging, i.e., all messages between FlexIT and the environment (PLC)
- Audit trail for retrospective error tracking during processing
- Statistics, reports, graphs, or trends, OEE
- Data export, faults can also be imported
- Email notifications

Examples of FlexIT Deployment
Warehouse Management in Automotive
FlexIT manages the placement of semi-finished products into several warehouses. The algorithm defines the most suitable warehouse layout for storing semi-finished products, determining the maximum stack height and position in the warehouse to ensure efficient use of space and fast insertion and retrieval.
The fill level and individual items can be monitored and tracked via a mobile application.
Production Control for Dip Pickling Line
FlexIT controls transport units with an emphasis on maximum production while adhering to process times at individual positions. The advanced algorithm ensures the efficient coordination of transport units moving on a shared track. In critical moments, the anti-collision system intervenes.
An overview screen is available, allowing monitoring of the event buffer, current status, assignment of handling to specific transport units, and many other details.
