Re-engineerig and modernization of the service platform

For our important customer and final supplier for aluminum manufacturers and processors, we performed a complete re-engineering, delivery, installation and commissioning of the electrical part of the service platform. The inspection and service platform is used for the rebuilding of furnace walls at end customers, see the picture below the text.

The modernization of the platform was mainly focused on:

• increasing the performance level to PL_d in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 13849-1
• relocation of the electrical switchboard from a movable to a fixed part of the platform
• addition of the horizontal electric drive
• adding a second independent brake to the lift drive, including setting the control logic
• completion of the measurement system using a rope sensor with the possibility of setting the maximum permitted depth
• replacement of the damaged lighting with a new LED type
• replacement of the radio remote control with a new one to achieve higher safety
• replacing the original 4 separate ones with 1 new one-piece safety edge including sensitive corners

The platform was connected to 3×230 V AC before shipment and its operational and safety functions were successfully tested and certified by an independent authority.
